Corona again claims 2 lives in Jharkhand, total deaths reach 971

206 new positive cases, 262 cured, mortality 0.88%, recovery rate 97.37%

Ranchi: After claiming 5 lives in Jharkhand on Tuesday, coronavirus pandemic again claimed 2 lives on Wednesday. The total death toll in the state of Jharkhand due to coronavirus has now gone up to 971.

According to official data, on Wednesday, 206 new positive cases were reported. On the other hand, 262 patients were also cured and discharged from different hospitals. 2 persons were reported as having succumbed to the virus.

Till Wednesday, the state has tested 42,30,863 samples in all. Out of these, 1,09,538 samples have tested positive, while 1,06,660 patients have already been cured.

The state, for now, has 1,907 active cases of coronavirus infections.

The recovery rate in the state has reached hovered around 97.37%, while the mortality remains static at 0.88% till Wednesday night.
