JNAC floats tender for allotting shops to street vendors

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has issued a tender for allotting permanent shops for street vendors of Jamshedpur. Those street vendors, who have been setting up their shops at different places in a haphazard manner, would now be able to set up their shops at places earmarked by JNAC on permanent basis.

For this service, the vendors would have to pay a fee to JNAC.

The Special Officer of JNAC, Krishna Kumar, said that this arrangement would be on the lines of one already in place in Ranchi Municipal Corporation area for street vendors.

He appealed to the street vendors of the city to apply for shops under the plan and for this to meet the city manager.

He said that this arrangement would also help in preventing the spread of corona and would also provide the citizens a neat and clean market with neat shops.
