Saryu Roy’s supporters take out huge protest rally against attack on office, worker

No FIR lodged by BJM, if police does not arrest miscreants, BJM would reveal their names

Jamshedpur: Agitated by frequent attacks on Bhartiya Jan Morcha and Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy’s offices and physical assault on supporters and intimidation, hundreds of supporters and workers of BJM Thursday took out a silent protest March in Baridih area.

On Wednesday, some unknown miscreants had attacked and vandalised Saryu Roy’s office at Baridih and had even attacked two party workers present in the office.

Even in September, some unknown miscreants had fired at Saryu Roy’s office.

Protesting the frequent attacks and intimidatory tactics, BJM workers and supporters took out a rally in Baridih. Saryu Roy himself was present and leading the rally.

Later, Saryu Roy said that they have not registered any FIR against anyone. The police should act on its own.

He said that if the police reveal the names of the accused, two of which have been identified, then it would be better. Otherwise, they would reveal the names.

He said that he does not believe in keeping ‘someone’s gift’ and believes in returning it with interest.

He said that if the police does not arrest the miscreants, then he himself would reveal their names and the society should decide how to deal with such elements.

On Wednesday, around three miscreants had barged into Saryu Roy’s Baridih office and had vandalised his office. They had also assaulted Amit Sharma with a pistol when he opposed their action.

Now, the politics has hotted up in Jamshedpur East and the police have a challenge before it to arrest the miscreants as soon as possible.
