JNAC contract sanitation employees go on Flash Strike against Corona death of colleague

Jamshedpur: All the contractual sanitation employees of JNAC today went on a flash strike to protest the death of their colleague due to Corona yesterday.

One of the sanitation workers employed by JNAC had died of Corona yesterday.

The sanitation workers are demanding that all of them be given the benefits of P.F. as well as ESI.

Most of them are employed through contractors and they claim that their contractors do not provide them these mandatory benefits.

They are also demanding regular payment of their wages by 10th of every month.

The most important demand that their list includes is that they be given compensation under the provisions made for Covid-19 warriors.

Sources said that on the intervention of JNAC officials, the contractor has accepted most of their demands. A decision on other demands would be taken once the Special Officer returns from leave.
