15 new Covid-19 cases in East Singhbhum on Saturday, total 643

Jamshedpur: 15 more persons have been found Covid-19 positive in East Singhbhum on Friday. With this, the total number of infected persons in the district has now reached 643 by Saturday night.

Out of these 15 fresh cases, two have had a travel history to Bengaluru, two to Bihar and one to Hyderabad.

One infected person is from Bistupur, two are from Baridih, two from Jugsalai, one from Dumaria, five from Sakchi and four are from Mango.

All these positive persons are now being admitted in the Covid ward of local hospitals.

Meanwhile, two patients have also been cured and were discharged from the city hospitals.

The district administration has issued orders to keep the vegetable shops closed from Saturday 3 p.m. till Sunday 7 p.m. in whole of Jamshedpur keeping the rapid increase in the number of Covid-19 infected persons. This order would be implemented every week and the time would be used for sanitising the vegetable markets of the city.

In view of sharp increase in the number of positive persons in the district, the administration has started enforcing strict measures. Intense checking drives have been launched in different parts of the city. People without masks are being rounded up.

On Friday, twenty-two persons were found Covid-19 positive in East Singhbhum district.

The administration has now made it clear that anyone who goes out in public without wearing a mask would be rounded up and sent to jail.
