24 more test positive for Covid-19 in East Singhbhum on Monday, total cases 525

Jamshedpur: 24 new persons have tested positive for Covid-19 in East Singhbhum as the total number of infected persons reached 525 on Monday.

The rise in the number of cases in the district has been a cause of worry for the district administration.

Especially, the fact that there are many new cases which have had no travel history is very worrying as it indicates that community transmission may have been happening for the last several days.

According to official data, out of these 24 fresh cases, seven have had a travel history to Thane, two to Ahmedabad, one to Qatar and ten to Buxar.

Out of them 10 are residents of Telco, one is from Bagbera, one from Baharagora, one from Sonari, six from Chakulia, one from mango, two from Ghatshila, one is from palm and one is from Jojobeda.

All of these new patients are being admitted in the Covid hospitals.

The district administration is concerned at the rise in the number of new cases, especially of those with no travel history. The administration has reiterated its appeal to the people to comply with all the necessary precautions.
