42 new Corona positive cases in Jharkhand on Monday, total infected now 2140, active cases 660

Ranchi: With 42 more persons testing positive for Covid-19 on Monday in the state, the total number of infected persons in Jharkhand has now reached 2140. For now, the state has a total of 660 active cases, while 1469 persons have been cured and discharged. The death toll due to Covid-19 is 11 for the state.

According to official sources, a total of 2224 samples were tested today and 42 out of them were found positive, while 2182 tested negative.

At present, East Singhbhum has a maximum number of active cases at 173 with zero deaths. At second place is Simdega with 109 active cases and one death.

Four persons have died of Covid in Ranchi while the number of deaths in Bokaro is 2 and one each have died in Gumla, Giridih, Kodarma and Simdega.

Yesterday, i.e. on June 21, 65 new Covid-19 positive cases were found in Jharkhand. Today the number of new cases has dropped slightly, but still it is at 42, which is a bit worrying for the health officials.
