In Jamshedpur Mango Family Intervenes in Child Assault Attempt; Suspect Arrested

Quick-thinking family members rescue a 9-year-old girl from assault in Jamshedpur’s Daigutu area. The suspect is now under police custody pending investigation.

JAMSHEDPUR – An attempt to assault a minor was thwarted by her own family members in Daigutu, a neighbourhood under the Mango police station’s jurisdiction in Jamshedpur.

The accused was caught and handed over to the police by the victim’s relatives.

According to Mango police station in-charge Vinay Kumar, the accusedt, also a resident of Daigutu, had lured the 9-year-old to his house under the guise of providing her water.

He then initiated inappropriate actions towards her.

The girl’s family, alarmed by her absence, started a search and found her at the home of the accused in a compromising situation.

The family acted swiftly, apprehending the accused and notifying the police station..

The police have begun their investigation into the incident. In the meantime, a medical examination of the girl has been scheduled for Monday.
