In a shocking incident, a 7-year-old girl from Baridiha, in the Sidhgora police station area of Jamshedpur, was allegedly assaulted by a young man living in the neighborhood.

He lured the two girls to a nearby ruined quarter under the pretext of giving them chocolates.

When the family members reached the quarter, they found the accused in an objectionable position with the 7-year-old girl.
Enraged by the sight, they severely beat up the accused before handing him over to the police.
The police have taken the accused into custody, and the girl is scheduled to undergo a medical examination on Sunday to ascertain the extent of the assault.
