JAMSHEDPUR – A JAP-6 jawan died late Wednesday night after falling from stairs at his residence near CP Club in Sonari.

The deceased was identified as 36-year-old Alok Kumar. According to reports, a loud noise and his cries alerted the family. When they rushed out, they found him lying injured at the base of the stairs.

Family members and neighbors immediately took him to Tata Main Hospital. However, despite efforts, doctors declared him dead during treatment.

The news of his death left relatives devastated. His house was filled with grief, and family members expressed their inability to comprehend the sudden tragedy.

Meanwhile, JAP-6 Association members arrived at TMH to take stock of the situation. Police registered a case of unnatural death based on statements from the family.

On the other hand, such incidents of stairway falls have been frequently reported in the city. Safety experts have advised households to install railings and take extra precautions to prevent similar accidents.
