Cultural event brings classical Indian music to students through Spic Macay collaboration

JAMSHEDPUR – A prestigious cultural program at Narbheram Hansraj English School featured an exceptional santoor performance by Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya.

The musical journey began with traditional lamp lighting ceremonies.

Moreover, several dignitaries graced the occasion with their presence.

Among them were Devang Gandhi and Chandrakant Zatakia, who hold key positions.

The event showcased the mesmerizing sounds of the santoor instrument.

Meanwhile, Shree Jyotirmoyee Roychowdhury provided excellent tabla accompaniment.

"Music has the power to transform young minds," remarked a cultural expert present at the event.

Principal Paramita Roy Chaudhury leads various cultural initiatives at the school.

Furthermore, NHES has organized similar classical music programs in previous years.

In addition, Spic Macay has been collaborating with schools nationwide since 1977.

The organization has reached over 6 million students through such programs.

Besides, Pandit Bhattacharya has performed in over 40 countries globally.

He received the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2002.

The tabla accompanist, Roychowdhury, has performed at major festivals worldwide.
