Meeting outlines steps to boost local Kho-Kho scene and prepare for state events

East Singhbhum District Kho-Kho Association convenes to chart a new course for the traditional sport’s future.

JAMSHEDPUR – The East Singhbhum District Kho-Kho Association held a crucial meeting at the New Baradwari club, focusing on reinvigorating the district’s Kho-Kho activities.

Secretary Victor Vijay Samad presided over the gathering, which outlined plans for expanding the association.

Officials discussed issuing certificates to office bearers and executive members to formalize roles.

The association aims to recruit new members to broaden its reach and impact.

Plans for special training sessions and seminars for judges and trainers were proposed.

Former players, sports enthusiasts, teachers, and trainers are invited to participate in upcoming camps.

Jamshedpur will host these training initiatives, with dates and venues to be announced soon.

The meeting addressed preparations for state-level competitions organized by the Jharkhand State Kho-Kho Association.

A district team will be selected to represent East Singhbhum in forthcoming state events.

Treasurer Shyam Kumar Sharma and Technical Assistant M. Arshad contributed to the strategic discussions.

Technical Head Subol Chatterjee shared insights on improving the sport’s technical aspects.

Notable members including Dayal Singh Nehra and Ajay Mohanty played key roles in the meeting.

The association plans to use newspapers and phone calls to communicate future event details.

This initiative aims to revive interest in Kho-Kho, a traditional Indian sport, among local youth.

The meeting’s outcomes reflect a concerted effort to strengthen the sport’s foundation in the district.
