Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy Conducts Early Morning Inspection in Local Areas

Saryu Roy Addresses Civic Issues During Morning Visit Across Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy embarked on an extensive early morning tour from 7 AM to 9:30 AM across various neighborhoods including Chhayanagar, Chandinagar, and Kalyannagar to directly address and assess local civic issues.

JAMSHEDPUR – Early this morning, Saryu Roy, MLA from Jamshedpur East, conducted a detailed inspection of several areas, addressing resident concerns regarding urban cleanliness and utilities.

Roy initiated discussions with UISL officials and the electrical executive engineer in an attempt to immediately rectify the deficiencies in services such as electricity and water supply that were highlighted during his interactions with the community.

Residents expressed their dissatisfaction with the ongoing cleanliness and drainage issues. It was noted that despite numerous complaints, sanitation workers were conspicuously absent, and areas such as Dhobi Ghat and Bhaalubasha were severely affected by unattended garbage piles and uncleared drainage blocks.

During his visit, Roy documented these conditions through photographs and promptly directed the relevant departments to undertake necessary cleaning operations.

Moreover, the MLA observed illegal trading activities on Slag Road and reported these to the local police for further investigation.

He also discussed with Tata Steel’s officials the recurrent issues of flooding during the monsoon at Gangotri apartment and persistent neglect in maintaining clean drainage systems near local ashrams and educational institutions.

Additionally, Roy tackled the issue of non-issuance of water bills and unfulfilled drinking water connections with JUSCO, reflecting broader administrative neglect in infrastructure maintenance and public service delivery.

The community’s grievances highlighted a systemic failure by the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee to uphold its municipal responsibilities, prompting Roy to advocate for stronger public involvement and potentially judicial intervention to enforce necessary changes.
