Five Ward Members Elected Unopposed as Family Duo Stands Out

Key Points:

  • Father and daughter secure seats without contest
  • Several candidates withdraw nominations during scrutiny

JAMSHEDPUR – The Jugsalai municipal election has clarified its contours after several candidates were elected unopposed and multiple nominations were withdrawn.

The election covers 22 wards across the urban body. However, five ward members have already secured seats without contest. Election officials formally handed certificates to all unopposed winners.

Meanwhile, the most notable development involved a single family. Ward number five elected Mohammad Abbas Ansari unopposed. Similarly, his daughter Firdaus Parveen won ward number six without opposition.

Moreover, Saleha Ameer secured ward number nine unopposed. On the other hand, Aamreen Parveen won ward number ten uncontested. Rashid Iqbal Ansari, also known as Sonu, was elected from ward number eleven.

However, the withdrawal process also reshaped contests. Three candidates withdrew nominations from ward number sixteen. Meanwhile, one candidate each withdrew from wards thirteen and four.

Election certificates were distributed by the election officer and circle officer Manoj Kumar. Meanwhile, the block development officer Sumit Prakash also participated in the process.

In contrast, remaining wards will witness voting as scheduled. The unopposed outcomes have altered political alignments in Jugsalai.

Earlier election activity included candidate filings reported in nomination updates. Meanwhile, party decisions were detailed in candidate announcements.

On the other hand, withdrawals also featured in poll withdrawal news. Earlier scrutiny outcomes appeared in scrutiny reports. Civic election delays were previously examined in election delay analysis.
