JAMSHEDPUR – The Jugsalai municipal election has clarified its contours after several candidates were elected unopposed and multiple nominations were withdrawn.
The election covers 22 wards across the urban body. However, five ward members have already secured seats without contest. Election officials formally handed certificates to all unopposed winners.
Meanwhile, the most notable development involved a single family. Ward number five elected Mohammad Abbas Ansari unopposed. Similarly, his daughter Firdaus Parveen won ward number six without opposition.
Moreover, Saleha Ameer secured ward number nine unopposed. On the other hand, Aamreen Parveen won ward number ten uncontested. Rashid Iqbal Ansari, also known as Sonu, was elected from ward number eleven.
