Teen dies in road accident in Adityapur

Roadside parking causes another tragic death

Adityapur: Ashish Gorai, 19, a student of Jamshedpur Co-operative College and a resident of Satwani Jamalpur under the jurisdiction of Adityapur police station was killed in a road accident Sunday.

According to information received, he had left the house at around 8:00 on Sunday to bring some wedding supplies.

While returning with the articles purchased, his vehicle collided with a trailer parked at the roadside near Kedia petrol pump near Gamharia.

The locals informed the local police about the incident. The police reached the site and with the help of local people the injured were rushed to MGM Hospital. However, he died during treatment.

A local citizen Atango Mukhi said that the deceased had gone to the family’s house to bring some wedding supplies.

He said that the street lights were not on and it was raining. His vehicle collided with a trailer parked on the sides of the road.

The injured was rushed to MGM Hospital where he died. He said that 19-year-old Ashish was the only child in the family.

He was a student of class 11 in the Jamshedpur Co-operative College.

His family is in a state of shock.

The locals urged the the district administration to ban the practice of parking heavy vehicles on the roadside and also to ensure that street lights are always on.
