JAMSHEDPUR – BJP leaders and social organization representatives met Jugsalai Nagar Palika officials demanding resolution of the drinking water crisis.
The delegation met official Mr. Paswan on Thursday. BJP District President Sudhanshu Ojha led the team. Other leaders included Alok Bhajpai and Babuwa Singh.
Mandal President Hanu Jain accompanied the group. State leader Dinesh Kumar and District BJP leader Alok Vajpayee also participated. Several party members joined the meeting.
Shaheed Thakur Ji Pathak Welfare Society Jharkhand sent representatives. President Surya Pathak attended the discussion. Moreover, Secretary Chandra Pathak and National Member Prahlad Pathak joined.
Safi Ganj Mohalla residents have protested for two years. They face acute drinking water shortage daily. However, authorities have not resolved the crisis.
Protesters demonstrated at Jugsalai Nagar Palika office. They also approached the DC Office. In addition, continuous demonstrations received BJP support.
Leaders highlighted the delayed pipeline installation. The government approved a tender for the project. Despite approval, the 4-inch water pipeline remains incomplete.
BJP leaders questioned the work stoppage. They demanded explanations for the delay. On the other hand, official approvals were already granted.
Mr. Paswan assured the work would begin soon. He acknowledged the residents’ concerns. Meanwhile, BJP leaders issued stern warnings.
District President Sudhanshu Ojha set a firm deadline. Work must start by January 13, 2026. Furthermore, failure to comply will trigger mass agitation.
Leaders threatened to shut down Jugsalai Nagar Palika. Public protests will be launched if demands are unmet. Besides, the warning reflects residents’ growing frustration.
