JAMSHEDPUR – A 41-year-old man died by suicide at his Punjabi Line residence in Mango police station area on Thursday morning.
Amrit Pal Singh was found hanging at his home. Neighbors discovered the body around 10:00 AM. They immediately informed police about the incident.
Police reached the spot upon receiving information. Officers took custody of the body thereafter. Moreover, they sent it for postmortem examination.
Singh had married twice in his life. However, both wives separated from him eventually. He was living with his mother subsequently.
His mother passed away in February this year. The loss affected him deeply thereafter. Besides, he had been struggling with depression since then.
Singh had developed alcohol dependency following personal losses. On the other hand, he had no other family support. Furthermore, isolation worsened his mental condition.
