SERAIKELA – A women’s safety awareness campaign was organized at Kharsawan school.
The event took place on September 13, 2025, under the instructions of the Saraikela-Kharsawan SP. It was led by a trainee DSP, with the presence of the Women’s Police Station in-charge.
During the program, students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Awasiya Vidyalaya received guidance on laws related to crimes against women. They were educated about the POCSO Act, women’s legal rights, and various safety provisions.
Moreover, awareness was spread on drug de-addiction and the importance of Dial-112. Students were also informed about the toll-free number 1930 to report cyber fraud cases.
In addition, participants were motivated to spread this knowledge further among peers. One local attendee said, “Sessions like these help us feel safer and more confident.”
The initiative is part of an ongoing campaign by Saraikela Police to empower young women with legal awareness and safety tools.
