Former Jharkhand Minister Alleges Bias in Security Withdrawal
Key Points:
- Ex-minister Dulal Bhuiyan complains bodyguard was withdrawn for 6 months
- He writes to Governor, CM, opposition leader, and SC Commission
- Blames government and administration if harm comes to him
JAMSHEDPUR – Former minister Dulal Bhuiyan has raised concern over his security after the withdrawal of his official bodyguard for the past six months.
He said that despite several reminders, the administration ignored his requests. According to him, people who flatter leaders are granted security, while genuine needs are overlooked.
Bhuiyan stated that he frequently travels across Jharkhand districts and also outside the state. He argued that the risk level is high due to interactions with many groups. However, his repeated appeals for protection have gone unanswered.
He warned that if any incident occurs, the government and local authorities should be held accountable. “If something happens to me, the responsibility will rest on the government and administration,” he reportedly said.
Meanwhile, he has written letters seeking intervention from multiple authorities. Recipients include Jharkhand Governor, the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, and opposition leader Babulal Marandi.
Bhuiyan emphasized that he only seeks fair security arrangements to safeguard his life and property.
