JAMSHEDPUR – The Rajasthan Public Puja Committee at Golmuri Food Plaza conducted the bhoomi poojan for its Durga Puja pandal with full rituals. The event was performed following traditional Rajasthani customs by the Marwari community residing in Golmuri.
The ceremony was led by BJP’s former district president Dinesh Kumar, committee president Kamal Ladda, social worker Shiv Shankar Singh, and Central Durga Puja Committee’s acting president Ashutosh Singh. Pandit Somen Mukherjee supervised the rituals. Committee president Kamal Ladda stated that since 1982 the Marwari community in Golmuri has organized the puja in Rajasthani style, with the unique tradition of worshipping Shankar and Parvati.
Among those present were Raj Prasad, Probir Chatterjee Rana, Shankar Agrawal, Kamal Gupta, Bunty Agrawal, Naveen Agrawal, Ratan Agrawal, Vijay Gupta, Ashok Bairathi, Santosh Agrawal, Manoj Khatri, Ramesh Agrawal, Kailash Patwari, Mihit Agrawal, Kamal Madhopuriya, Dhanna Agrawal, Ramavatar Agrawal, Sandeep Ringashia, Jasbir Singh, Om Prakash Devuka, Vijay Gupta, and Satish Mukhi along with many committee members.
