Ramdas Soren Cremated With State Honors in Jamshedpur

JAMSHEDPUR – The funeral of Jharkhand Education Minister Ramdas Soren was held with full state honors in Jamshedpur on Saturday.
His mortal remains were transported by road in the afternoon. The body was first kept at the JMM office in Sakchi. Many political leaders and supporters paid floral tribute there.
Later, the remains were taken to his residence in Ghorabanda. Family members broke down as crowds surged to see him. According to officials, thousands joined the funeral procession.
Among those present were ministers Dr. Irfan Ansari, Deepika Pandey, Deepak Birua, and MLAs Samir Kumar Mohanty and Sanjeev Sardar. BJP leader Ramesh Hansda was also in attendance.
Traditional rituals were performed before the funeral procession began. Finally, Soren was cremated on ancestral land. His eldest son lit the pyre as slogans of “Ramdas Soren Amar Rahe” echoed in the city.
Dr. Irfan Ansari called the deaths of both Shibu Soren and Ramdas Soren a huge loss. He remarked, “It feels like Jharkhand is under a shadow of misfortune.”
Meanwhile, Minister Deepika Singh, Minority Commission Chairman Hidayatullah Khan, and Baharagora MLA Samir Kumar Mohanty also offered condolences and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
