JAMSHEDPUR – Jharkhand’s School Education Minister and senior Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader Ramdas Soren died on Friday at Apollo Hospital in Delhi.
Soren had been critically ill for several days and was on ventilator support. His death was confirmed by JMM leader Kunal Sarangi through social media.
A few days earlier, Soren slipped in the bathroom at his residence, sustaining a severe head injury that caused a brain hemorrhage. His condition worsened, and he was airlifted to Delhi for treatment by a team of specialist doctors. Despite continuous medical efforts, he could not be saved.
The late minister, who represented the Ghatshila Assembly seat, was known for his simplicity and dedication to public service. He had made significant contributions to the Jharkhand movement. His death has left the state’s political and educational sectors in mourning. His last rites will be held soon in his hometown.
