GIRIDIH – A 24-year-old man was allegedly murdered by his girlfriend’s family in Turiya Tola area of Chatro market under Devri police station in Giridih district.

The victim has been identified as Sahil Ansari. He was a resident of Mankaddiha under Devri police station jurisdiction.

However, Sahil was allegedly involved in a love affair with a girl in the village. Sources said that the young man frequently visited the girl’s house to meet her.

On the other hand, Sahil came to meet his girlfriend on Wednesday night. Moreover, the villagers allegedly caught him during the visit.

Meanwhile, the villagers allegedly brutally assaulted the youth inside the house. Furthermore, Sahil’s condition deteriorated rapidly due to severe beating.

In addition, the young man died on the spot from his injuries. Besides, the villagers allegedly tied a towel around his neck afterward.

The accused then hung Sahil’s body from the house window. This was allegedly done to make it appear like suicide.

However, victim’s family members have accused the girlfriend’s relatives of murder. They rejected the suicide theory completely.

Moreover, Devri police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident. The officers immediately took the body into custody for investigation.

Furthermore, police have detained the girlfriend for detailed questioning. She is being interrogated about her role in the entire episode.

In addition, family members are devastated by the tragic loss. They are demanding strict action against the accused persons.
