JAMSHEDPUR – Unidentified miscreants opened fire near a mosque on Dimna Road under Mango police station jurisdiction Thursday evening, creating panic in the area.

The shooting incident took place outside Mannan shop located near the mosque. However, no injuries were reported in the firing.

Meanwhile, police reached the spot immediately after receiving information about the incident. Moreover, officers launched a comprehensive investigation into the entire sequence of events.

On the other hand, police recovered one bullet shell from the crime scene. The shell will be sent for forensic examination to determine weapon details.

According to eyewitnesses, the criminals snatched a mobile phone from a person during the firing. The victim’s identity has not been disclosed by authorities.

Furthermore, police are examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the attackers. The investigation team is analyzing multiple camera angles to trace the miscreants.

In addition, senior police officials visited the site to assess the situation. They directed patrol teams to intensify security measures in the locality.

Besides, police have enhanced surveillance on suspicious individuals in the area. Special teams are monitoring movement of known criminals in Mango police station limits.

A police official stated that arrests would be made soon. The investigation is progressing rapidly with multiple leads being pursued.

Moreover, residents expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation. Local shopkeepers demanded increased police presence during evening hours.
