JAMSHEDPUR – Armed miscreants entered a house in Shankarpur area under Parsudih police station and attacked a family over land dispute, leaving several injured including women.

The violent incident occurred near Kabir Temple on Thursday morning. Shyam Gop and his family members sustained injuries during the assault. However, women in the household faced particularly harsh treatment.

Shyam Gop filed a complaint at Parsudih police station. He stated that his relatives live on the disputed land. Moreover, his family also holds a share in the property.

The land was given to their ancestors by a Muslim family. His family has maintained possession for several years continuously. Meanwhile, some miscreants are attempting forcible occupation recently.

Gop faced death threats when he opposed the encroachment. The attackers warned him against resisting their illegal activities. Furthermore, they continued pressuring the family for land surrender.

Five to six men stormed the house Thursday morning. They beat family members including women present inside. Additionally, household items suffered damage during the violent attack.

“Women were subjected to inappropriate behavior,” Gop stated in his complaint. The attackers showed no respect for family members. Property inside the house was deliberately damaged.

Gop has previously complained to Parsudih police station and SSP. However, no action has been taken despite repeated appeals. The family blames police inactivity for escalating violence.

“Police inaction led to today’s situation,” Gop alleged. The family now appeals to administration for justice. They demand strict action against the perpetrators.
