JAMSHEDPUR – District administration and fire department jointly organized comprehensive fire safety training programs across educational institutions and commercial establishments to enhance emergency response capabilities.
Training sessions were held at Loyola School in Telco area. Meanwhile, Kerala Samajam School in Golmuri also participated. Students and teachers received detailed information about fire safety measures.
Participants learned practical rescue techniques during fire emergencies. However, the focus remained on self-protection methods. Moreover, experts demonstrated fire extinguisher operation techniques effectively.
Fire safety specialists shared crucial household safety measures. They provided guidance on LPG leak precautions specifically. In addition, primary fire suppression techniques were taught comprehensively.
“We conducted hands-on training with fire equipment,” said a department official. Participants practiced using extinguishers under expert supervision. Furthermore, emergency evacuation procedures were demonstrated practically.
A mock drill was organized at Nagarmal Mall in Sakchi. All employees participated in the comprehensive training program. Besides, staff members learned fire equipment operation techniques.
The evacuation plan received particular attention during training. Employees practiced emergency exit procedures systematically. Moreover, they learned coordination methods during crisis situations.
Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi emphasized preparedness importance for life protection. He stated that prior training prevents fire-related casualties. However, continuous awareness programs remain essential across the district.
“Citizens must participate actively in these safety programs,” Satyarthi urged. He emphasized family protection through proper training. In addition, he highlighted personal responsibility in fire prevention.
