JAMSHEDPUR – District Congress Committee staged a protest outside Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee office when officials failed to address persistent flooding and waterlogging issues affecting numerous residential areas across the city.

Congress delegation led by district president Anand Bihari Dubey approached JNAC office. The team sought dialogue with Deputy Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar. However, officials showed insensitive attitude towards burning public issues initially.

Moreover, the pre-scheduled meeting faced unexpected obstacles at arrival. Police security personnel informed Congress representatives about official’s unavailability. “Sir is busy in meeting and cannot meet now,” stated security staff.

Meanwhile, adequate seating arrangements were unavailable for waiting delegation members. Congress leaders decided to stage dharna on ground outside chamber. District president along with entire delegation sat in protest demonstration.

Furthermore, Deputy Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar emerged after receiving information. He questioned why delegation members were sitting on ground. “I was doing necessary work, please come inside chamber,” he requested.

However, district president expressed concern about coalition government’s deteriorating image. Public welfare issues remain unresolved causing continuous citizen distress. Heavy rainfall has created severe problems in flood-affected areas.

In addition, delegation raised multiple civic issues during the meeting. Garbage disposal, mud cleaning, bleaching powder spraying were highlighted extensively. Drain cleaning and medicine spraying requirements were also discussed thoroughly.

Besides immediate concerns, waterlogging problems plague numerous residential colonies. Baridih Basti, Bhojpur Colony, Mithila Colony face severe water accumulation. Nagadungri, Nandnagar, Bhuiyadih areas experience similar flooding issues regularly.

Moreover, Kanhubhatta, Lalbhatta, Babuidih localities suffer from persistent water stagnation. Nehru Colony, Slag Road, Kashidih Garden lower areas witness rainwater entering homes. Shastri Nagar blocks 1 to 5 face similar challenges.

Furthermore, Ramjanmnagar, Ramnagar, Green Park lower sections experience flood water intrusion. Mango’s Vaikunth Nagar Road Number 4 faces water accumulation problems. Ramnagar, Shyamnagar, Sankosai areas require immediate attention from authorities.

The delegation also highlighted Kunwar Basti and Daiguttu’s lower sections. Old Purulia Road’s lower areas in Mango face waterlogging issues. Chanakya Puri and Verma Mines Carriage Colony need urgent intervention.

Deputy Municipal Commissioner assured immediate action following detailed discussions. Site inspection teams will be deployed without delay. Swift problem resolution measures will be implemented across affected areas.

District president emphasized Congress party’s commitment to public welfare issues. System negligence and public neglect will not be tolerated. Transparency and accountability from JNAC remain essential requirements.
