MEDININAGAR – A tragic road accident occurred in Palamu’s Mangardaha Valley under Chainpur police station on Thursday around 11 AM when a bike and a pickup truck collided head-on.
Two youths from Karamaha village in Baraon Panchayat were riding the motorcycle. The victim, identified as 20-year-old Shravan Chaudhary, lost his life at the scene, while the other rider, Rakesh Chaudhary, sustained serious injuries.
Police Take Charge After Accident
The pickup truck, which was traveling from Garhwa, struck the motorcycle with great force. The driver fled immediately, abandoning the vehicle. Upon receiving information, Chainpur police arrived at the accident site, seized the abandoned pickup, and sent Rakesh Chaudhary for urgent medical treatment at MMCH Medininagar.
Investigation Underway
Authorities have taken Shravan Chaudhary’s body into custody for a post-mortem examination. The police have identified the owner of the pickup as Pintu Kumar from Garhwa. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are currently ongoing.

Local residents have expressed concerns over frequent road accidents in the Mangardaha Valley region. They have urged authorities to improve road safety measures and strictly regulate speeding vehicles to prevent further incidents.
