JAMSHEDPUR – Police arrested an absconding woman in a cheque bounce case from Bagbera today.
The accused, R Pandey, lives in Bajrang Tekri area. Police made the arrest early Thursday morning.
Judicial Magistrate Pawan Kumar sent her to Ghaghidih Jail. The court had earlier imposed Rs 1.80 lakh fine.
Meanwhile, Roshan Lal Bagdi from Jugsalai had filed the complaint. He initiated legal proceedings against Pandey.

The court found the accused guilty. She received a six-month imprisonment sentence.
Moreover, her appeal faced dismissal in higher court. The Principal District Judge rejected her petition.
Police Action
The accused went into hiding after sentence. Police issued a non-bailable warrant.
