JAMSHEDPUR – Two flats in Govindpur’s Dayal City under Parsudih police station were ransacked by burglars, resulting in a theft of jewelry worth ₹3 lakh. The incident has left residents concerned about the lack of adequate security measures.
Break-In Details
Jitendra Kumar Singh, a Tata Motors employee, discovered the break-in upon visiting his flat. CCTV footage revealed five masked burglars fleeing the premises at around 2:15 AM. Singh, who lives with his family in Telco, was informed of the incident by neighbors on Monday morning.
Damage and Loss
The burglars broke the door locks and caused significant damage to the property. Singh reported the matter to the police, who have begun investigating the case. District council member Dr. Paritosh Singh also visited the site to assess the situation.
Residents Voice Concerns
Residents expressed their anger towards the builder, citing poor security despite regular maintenance charges. “The builder collects fees but provides no real security,” one resident complained. The incident has raised demands for immediate security upgrades in the complex.
