MEDININAGAR – A block-level health fair was organized on Friday in Chukru, Kaudia Panchayat, under the Sadar block of Palamu. The event was inaugurated by Block Head Basanti Devi, 20-Point Vice-President Ramanand Pathak, Deputy Chief Sheetal Singh Chero, and Block Medical Officer Dr. Riddhi through a ceremonial lamp-lighting.

The guests distributed medical kits to patients affected by filaria, emphasizing the fair’s commitment to addressing diverse health concerns. Speaking at the event, Basanti Devi lauded the administration’s efforts to bring healthcare to rural areas, making health check-ups more accessible. Ramanand Pathak highlighted the state and government’s initiative as a significant step toward better healthcare for citizens.

Comprehensive Medical Services Offered

The health fair featured multiple stalls catering to various medical needs, including eye, ear, and throat check-ups, tuberculosis diagnosis, vaccinations, malaria treatment, and family planning consultations. Other stalls focused on Ayushman Bharat schemes, dermatology, child health, and eye care. Visitors received detailed health information and appropriate medical advice at each stall.

Free Medicines and Expert Care

Over 600 residents from nearby rural areas availed themselves of free health screenings. A dedicated team of doctors, including Dr. Neelu Kumari, Dr. Anand Kumar Sinha, Dr. Praveen Oraon, and Dr. Ramanuj Verma, provided expert consultations. Free medicines were distributed to the patients after their check-ups.

The event witnessed active participation from several local leaders and health workers, including former district council member Arjun Singh, Kaudia Panchayat head Kumari Anjana Singh, and Jor Panchayat head Prabha Devi. Health staff like BPM Tadasa Karmali, Dheeraj Kumar, Subodh Singh, and Rahul Kumar Sinha also contributed to the success of the fair.
