JAMSHEDPUR – A violent land dispute in Lataghar village under Shyamsundarpur police station area resulted in the tragic death of an elder brother and left his wife critically injured. The accused, identified as Kushal Mandi, used a spade to attack his brother Lakhman Mandi during a heated argument.
The incident occurred while Lakhman and his wife, Somwari Mandi, were building an irrigation channel on their farmland. Kushal objected, claiming the channel encroached on his land. The disagreement quickly escalated, leading Kushal to seize a spade and attack his brother. When Somwari attempted to intervene, she was also attacked and severely injured.
Immediate Surrender
Following the incident, Kushal walked to the local police station and confessed to the crime. Police have since detained him and launched an investigation.
