JAMSHEDPUR – The railways has initiated an anti-encroachment drive near Tatanagar station, focusing on illegally occupied land in Jugsalai area.

The administration has identified encroached railway land near the LIC building. An illegally constructed structure near the sewage line will be demolished.

“We have a clear roadmap for clearing encroachments,” a railway official stated. The land is crucial for the station’s modernization plan.

The railways will construct a new road after clearing the area. This project aims to improve connectivity around the station.

Meanwhile, Tatanagar station handles over 100 trains daily. The redevelopment will enhance passenger amenities significantly.

The project includes measures to reduce congestion around the station. Better traffic flow will benefit thousands of daily commuters.

Moreover, the station modernization aligns with Indian Railways’ nationwide upgrade initiative. The project includes improved parking facilities.
