CHAIBASA – In a significant breakthrough, West Singhbhum police recovered a large cache of explosives during a search operation in KaraiKela’s Serengda village. Acting on intelligence, security forces seized 21 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and 55 gelatin sticks, which were reportedly placed by Naxalites to target security personnel.
Intelligence Leads to Operation
The operation was initiated after West Singhbhum SP received credible information about Naxalite movements in and around KaraiKela. Joint teams of security personnel launched a coordinated raid, resulting in the recovery of explosives and the destruction of a Naxalite dump.
Ongoing Anti-Naxalite Efforts
Police officials revealed that the operation is part of an extended campaign against Naxal activities in the region. “Our mission is to dismantle their network and ensure public safety,” an officer stated. Efforts to neutralize the remaining threats will continue with intensified vigilance.
