JAMSHEDPUR – EPFO launches a simplified process for member profile updates requiring no documents.

The system allows direct updates of personal information. Meanwhile, it covers name, birth date and other details.

Members can modify employment dates independently. Moreover, UANs issued before October 2017 need employer validation.

The changes affect 8 lakh correction applications. However, 45% can now use self-approval methods.

The new system eliminates lengthy waiting periods. Meanwhile, employer authentication delays reduce significantly.

Cases without full e-KYC show improvements. Furthermore, 50% receive employer-level approval directly.

The process benefits pending applicants immediately. Moreover, existing requests can switch to new methods.
