JAMSHEDPUR – The Healing Minds mental health hospital and de-addiction center was inaugurated in Jamshedpur’s Birsa Nagar Zone 1 on Sunday. The event was marked by the presence of Dr. Jayanti, Director of Ranchi’s RINPAS, Dr. Sahir Paul, Civil Surgeon of Jamshedpur, and Dr. Mahesh Hembram, Director of Healing Minds, who jointly cut the ribbon.
Addressing a Long-Felt Need
This is the first mental health facility in the Kolhan region, which previously lacked such a center. Until now, patients requiring mental health treatment were referred to Ranchi. The launch of this hospital in Jamshedpur will significantly ease the burden on patients and families.
Initial Capacity and Services
Currently, the hospital has 12 beds. According to mental health professionals, the facility will focus on providing initial treatment to stabilize patients. Those with severe conditions will continue to be referred to Ranchi’s RINPAS for specialized care.
