RANCHI – In a major success, Ranchi police, with assistance from Lohardaga police, arrested PLFI zonal commander Krishna Yadav, also known as Sultan, from Dhobighat in Lohardaga’s Kudu area. Yadav, a dreaded criminal with a Rs 2 lakh bounty, was wanted in 51 criminal cases across multiple districts, including Ranchi, Lohardaga, Chatra, Ramgarh, and Latehar.

Weapons and Materials Seized

During the operation, police recovered a carbine, six rounds of ammunition, a pistol, mobile phones, blankets, and other items from a damaged house in Ambatand forest. The materials were hidden in a bag, adding to the evidence of Yadav’s activities.

Details Shared in Press Conference

DIG and Ranchi SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha provided details during a press conference. He described Yadav as a notorious figure who instilled fear across several districts. The coordinated efforts of the police resulted in this significant breakthrough, ending Yadav’s reign of terror.

Extensive Criminal Background

Yadav’s criminal record includes 51 registered cases involving extortion, violence, and other serious charges. His activities had made him synonymous with fear in the region. Police officials lauded the arrest as a step toward curbing the activities of extremist groups in the area.
