JAMSHEDPUR – The Jharkhand Vasi Ekta Manch is all set to organize a grand Tusu Mela on January 21 at Regal Ground in Bistupur. The annual event, celebrated with great enthusiasm for the past two decades, aims to highlight the cultural heritage of Jharkhand, Bengal, and Odisha.
Focus on Cultural Heritage and Makar Sankranti
During a press conference, the organizers released a souvenir and invited all residents of Jharkhand to join the festivities. The event will feature performances that emphasize the importance of Makar Sankranti and the rich traditions associated with it. “Through this mela, we aim to present the diverse art and culture of our region,” a representative of the Manch stated.
Continuation of a Longstanding Tradition
The tradition of organizing the Tusu Mela was initiated by former MP Sunil Mahato. Since then, the Jharkhand Vasi Ekta Manch has upheld this legacy, ensuring that the event remains a vibrant celebration of local culture and unity.
