JAMSHEDPUR – In a major crackdown, Sakchi police arrested seven individuals attempting to sell stolen motorcycles near Mango Bus Stand. The operation, carried out yesterday evening, resulted in the recovery of seven stolen bikes.

Operation Details and Arrests

Acting on a tip-off received by the SSP, a police team spotted suspicious activities near Maharana Chowk. Four youths were seen riding two motorcycles and attempted to flee upon noticing the police. They were apprehended, leading to further investigations.

The arrested individuals have been identified as:

  • Sanjit Kumar alias Chela from Harharguttu Bada Talab
  • Ashish Sardar from Harharguttu Shiv Mandir
  • Arjun Sardar alias DM from Bagbera Lal Building Water Tank
  • Sumit Sardar alias Banguwa from Bada Talab

Following their interrogation, the police recovered five additional stolen bikes.

Stolen Bike Network Uncovered

The accused reportedly planned to sell the bikes near Mango Bus Stand. Police suspect a larger network involved in the theft and sale of motorcycles in the region.

Police Team’s Efforts Lauded

The operation was executed by a team led by SI Sujit Kumar and included officers like Abhinav Kumar, Amit Kumar Singh, Neeraj Kumar Gupta, and others. Their swift action ensured the arrest and recovery, bolstering efforts to curb bike theft in the area.
