JAMSHEDPUR – The Shri Shri Dakshineshwari Kali Temple, located in East Plant Basti, celebrated its first establishment anniversary with great devotion and fanfare on Friday. A grand Kalash Yatra was conducted from the temple premises to Domuhani, attracting hundreds of devotees, including men and women.
Rituals and Grand Puja Held
The Kalash Yatra began with traditional music and reached Domuhani, where women collected holy water in Kalash pots. The water was brought back to the temple and used for bathing the idol of Maa Kali. Following this, priests adorned the deity with a magnificent decoration and performed rituals as per traditional customs. Prasad was distributed among the devotees during the celebrations.
Temple Committee’s Efforts
Gulvinder Singh Gwale, the president of the temple committee, shared that the temple was inaugurated on January 17, 2024, with the installation and consecration of Maa Kali’s idol. “On the first anniversary, we organized a grand puja and decorations for Maa Kali today, while a special Bhandara will take place tomorrow, January 18,” he stated.
