804 Members Vote In First Union Election After Tata Steel Merger

JAMSHEDPUR – Rakeshwar Pandey has secured re-election as Tinplate Workers Union president for tenth consecutive term.
The voting process began Monday morning at Tata Steel Tinplate Division. Moreover, ten polling stations facilitated the election.
Election Officer Vinod Kumar Rai supervised the proceedings. Meanwhile, vote counting took place at Motor Garage Complex.
Election Details
Twenty-three positions saw active contests this year. Furthermore, seven members won unopposed elections.
The union recorded 804 voter turnout. However, only 48 candidates contested remaining positions.
Leadership Structure
Manoj Kumar Singh retained his General Secretary position. Moreover, Parvinder Singh accepted Deputy President role.
Three vice presidents support the leadership team. Additionally, four assistant secretaries join the committee.
