POTKA – In response to the harsh cold wave, MP Bidyut Mahato distributed 650 blankets to needy individuals in Turi. The event was organized to support elderly and underprivileged people, bringing much-needed relief during the winter chill.
The recipients expressed their gratitude, with many elderly men and women visibly happy after receiving the blankets. Jaswant Mahato, MP Mahato’s private secretary, coordinated the event, which saw active participation from community leaders.
Leaders Address Distribution Efforts
Upendra Nath Sardar, a BJP leader and representative of the MP, stated, “Considering the extreme cold, blankets are being distributed before Makar Sankranti to help those in need.” He added that similar distributions would occur in other areas, including Kalikapur and Asanbani.
Community Participation
The event was attended by several prominent figures, including village head Amrit Manjhi, former village head Kamalini Singh, and local leaders Ganesh Sardar, Ramesh Mahato, and Ram Singh. Their presence underscored the collective commitment to addressing local issues.
