JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel UISL, in partnership with Public Health Service (PHS), organized a medical camp at SLF Begunadih, Potka, on January 9, 2025. The initiative aimed to provide free healthcare services to underprivileged villagers, emphasizing the importance of general health and hygiene.
The camp was graced by Potka MLA Sanjib Sardar and Col. Paul Earnest, DGM, JTO, Tata Steel UISL. Both highlighted the need for regular medical check-ups to improve the community’s overall well-being. “Access to quality healthcare is vital for enhancing life standards in rural areas,” said Col. Earnest.
Services Offered to the Community
The event catered to 177 villagers, providing:
- General health assessments, including blood pressure, blood sugar, and BMI tests.
- Expert consultations in general medicine.
- Free distribution of essential medicines to all attendees.
