JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel UISL organized a comprehensive Rabies Awareness Training for Trainers on January 8, 2025, to equip participants with essential knowledge about rabies prevention and control. The initiative aligns with the Government of India’s goal of achieving Zero Rabies by 2030.

Key Focus Areas of Training

The session covered various aspects of rabies, providing participants with vital insights into:

  • Understanding Rabies: Causes, modes of transmission, and its impact on human and animal health.
  • Vaccination Protocols: Pre-exposure and post-exposure schedules for rabies prevention.
  • Symptoms of Rabies: Early detection and understanding the progression of the disease.
  • Dos and Don’ts: Preventive measures to reduce exposure risks and actions to take in case of potential contact.

The training emphasized practical strategies to combat rabies and highlighted the importance of education in minimizing risks.

Outreach to School Students

A total of 58 employees participated in the session, gaining the expertise required to conduct awareness programs in schools. By informing young minds about rabies prevention and safety measures, the initiative aims to foster a proactive and knowledgeable community.
