Awareness Campaign Launched During Road Safety Week in the City

Key Points:

  • Road safety week observed with awareness programs across key locations.
  • Officials conducted drives to promote adherence to traffic rules.
  • Innovative displays used to emphasize road safety’s importance.

JAMSHEDPUR – A road safety awareness campaign was launched in the city by the district administration as part of the ongoing Road Safety Week.

The initiative saw active participation from officials who interacted directly with citizens on major roads and intersections. They highlighted the critical need for following traffic regulations.

Unique Strategies to Spread Awareness

Officials adopted creative methods to engage citizens, including setting up displays featuring “Yamraj” figures at key junctions. These were intended to stress the gravity of road safety rules and their impact on saving lives.

Alongside this, citizens found flouting rules, such as riding without helmets, were offered garlands and politely urged to abide by traffic laws. This approach, while unconventional, aimed to drive home the importance of compliance in reducing accidents.

Focus on Preventive Measures

The administration emphasized that adhering to safety measures could significantly cut down the number of road mishaps. They further remarked that such campaigns contribute to safeguarding not just individuals but entire families.

Officials reiterated, “Every life saved from a road accident secures a family’s future.”
