MEDININAGAR – A monthly review meeting for Public Distribution System (PDS) dealers was conducted at the Sadar Block Office auditorium on Friday. Chaired by the in-charge Block Supply Officer, Sunil Kumar, the session reviewed the distribution of food grains and essentials under the National Food Security Act.

During the meeting, it was noted that several PDS dealers were absent, and explanations have been sought from them. Dealers were instructed to ensure timely distribution of ration, including grains, pulses, sugar, and salt, to beneficiaries.

Warning Against Malpractices

Mr. Kumar emphasized that irregularities in distribution will not be tolerated. “Dealers found indulging in malpractice will face strict action following investigations,” he stated firmly. The officer assured beneficiaries of transparency and efficiency in the system.

Dealers’ Concerns Addressed

The attending dealers shared their operational challenges during the meeting. Issues raised were addressed promptly to ensure smoother functioning of the distribution system.

Attendance and Participation

Prominent dealers, including Ravindra Pandey, Yugal Kishore Tiwari, Ashok Ojha, and others, actively participated in the session. Their concerns and suggestions were noted to improve service delivery.
