Devotees Gather to Celebrate Kalpataru Utsav with Rituals and Devotion

MEDININAGAR – The Palamu unit of Sri Ramakrishna Maa Sharada Seva Samiti organized the Kalpataru Utsav at the Bangiya Durga Bari premises near Koyal River on Wednesday. The event featured spiritual activities, devotional singing, and collective prayers.
The celebration began with Vedic chants and a hawan ceremony, invoking blessings from Sri Ramakrishna, Maa Sharada, Maa Kali, and Swami Vivekananda. Devotees participated in rituals with great reverence, followed by a reading from “Sri Ramakrishna Vachanamrita” and bhajans.
Significance of Kalpataru Utsav
Samiti President Rajdev Upadhyay explained the spiritual essence of the festival, emphasizing the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna. “The path shown by Sri Ramakrishna leads to the ultimate welfare of life. His devotion protects and uplifts his followers,” he said.
Rituals and Offerings
The event also included an aarti and flower offerings, uniting devotees in a shared expression of faith. Key participants included K.S. Bhattacharya, Shanti Bhattacharya, and former councilor Rajkumar Gupta, along with numerous devotees. The ceremonies concluded with prasadam distribution.

Devotees expressed joy in the spiritual ambiance created during the celebrations. “Participating in such events brings peace and strengthens our faith,” said a devotee.
