MEDININAGAR – Police have arrested Arun Yadav, a resident of Avsane village in Chainpur police station area, on charges of assault. The accused was sent to jail on Tuesday.
According to Chainpur Police Station in-charge Shri Ram Sharma, Arun Yadav is accused of attacking his cousin, Surendra Yadav, during a land dispute on Monday. The altercation occurred when Surendra was irrigating his field, and the irrigation pipe extended into Arun’s adjacent field, causing tension.
Violent Attack During Irrigation
Surendra Yadav’s family reported that the argument escalated when Arun Yadav, along with his sisters Jira Devi and Guddi Devi, attacked Surendra with a hoe. The victim suffered serious head injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital.
Police Action And Investigation
Following the assault, the victim’s family filed a complaint, prompting swift action by the Chainpur police. Arun Yadav was arrested and presented before the court, which ordered his judicial custody.
The police are continuing their investigation into the incident, and efforts are underway to ensure justice for the victim.
