JAMSHEDPUR – The widow of Tony Singh, Savita Singh, has demanded justice for her husband’s murder, alleging police negligence in the case.

Tony Singh was brutally killed on November 15, 2024, while returning home from work. The attack occurred near Uma Tiffin on Dimna Road, where the assailants, reportedly including Avinash Singh, Uttam Mandal, Nitish Poddar, and unidentified accomplices, ambushed and shot him. Savita Singh, in her plea to the Senior Superintendent of Police, has insisted on swift action.

Accused Still at Large Despite Surrender

Three suspects have reportedly surrendered in court. However, no arrests have been made, and the murder weapon remains unrecovered. Savita has criticized the investigating officer accusing him of partiality and insufficient action. “Whenever we contact the police, they say the accused are absconding,” she said.

Family Threatened by Accused Accomplices

Savita revealed that the family continues to face intimidation. Recently, two individuals on a motorcycle threatened her, warning her to withdraw the case or face dire consequences. These threats have heightened fears for the family’s safety.

Public Outrage Over Police Inaction

Local residents have expressed anger over the lack of arrests despite the identification of the accused. They have called for urgent and decisive action by the authorities.

Widow’s Plea to Authorities

Savita Singh has appealed to the administration for the immediate arrest of all accused and for security for her family. “Delays could lead to another tragedy in our family,” she said, emphasizing the need for swift intervention.

Call for Police Accountability

This incident has sparked a debate over police accountability and efficiency in handling such grave cases. Residents demand a thorough investigation to bring justice to Tony Singh’s family.
