JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy expressed deep grief over the demise of his long-time friend, former IPS officer and Bihar State Religious Trust Board Chairman Acharya Kishore Kunal.
Acharya Kishore Kunal’s death due to cardiac arrest on Sunday morning left a void in the hearts of many. Expressing his sorrow on social media platform X, MLA Saryu Roy called the loss a personal tragedy. “Acharya Kishore Kunal, known for his work at Shri Hanuman Mandir, Patna, is no more. His passing is a personal loss,” he wrote.
Remembering a Close Bond
Saryu Roy reminisced about their friendship from student days, highlighting Kunal’s visit to Jamshedpur’s Lakshminarayan Temple for a consecration ceremony at Roy’s invitation. “Kishore Ji’s contributions in education, health, and spirituality set benchmarks. He was an inspiration, and we are proud of him,” Roy noted.

Acharya Kishore Kunal, also the founder of Gyan Niketan School in Patna, was widely respected for his initiatives in spiritual and educational domains. As the secretary of Mahavir Mandir Trust, he significantly contributed to healthcare and education through various institutions.
